Kathryn Barnett, Director
Mrs. Barnett has a Bachelor’s from Plymouth State University and a Master’s Certificate from Dance Educators of America.  She is trained in teaching Radiant Child Yoga and directs a public charter school's dance and yoga program.  A three-time recipient of Who’s Who of America’s Teachers, a student-nominated award, Mrs. Barnett is committed to the development and the well-being of her students.  Not only does her award-winning choreography get requested at gala events and industrials, she is highly involved with her community, presenting her dancers at many events year-round.  Mrs. Barnett is most proud of the KBSD graduates who go forward to become wonderful people and contributors to a greater society.

Alice Wenzel, Office Manager
She’s the friendly face you see when walking in to the studio, and she takes care of the accounting, bookkeeping, and is the voice you often hear on the phone. With over 25 years with us at KBSD, Alice has been an integral part of the studio since its inception with Mrs. Barnett as the owner.

Gabrielle Barnett, Instructor
An honors graduate of the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Miss Gabrielle holds a BFA in Jazz Dance Performance.  Her award-winning choreography has been performed at venues and industrials across the tri-state area. She has more than 10 years teaching at KBSD, as well as at area high schools and at the 2008 National High School Dance Festival. Miss Gabrielle is also the Founder and Artistic Director of the Say Dance Collective, which performed in Philadelphia as a part of Brian Mengini’s ‘Hope Dances’ Dance for Dreams Gala alongside dancers from the Trey McIntyre Project, the Boston Ballet, and the Pennsylvania Ballet and in New York City at Carnegie Hall in collaboration with the Pacific Opera.

Megan Amitrani, Instructor
A KBSD alumnus, Miss Megan has been on the teaching staff at KBSD for over four years.  She holds a BFA in Dance from DeSales University in Pennsylvania, where she was also a part of the Annex Dance Company.  Miss Megan is Director the Dance program for Mater Dei High School, is a certified Zumba instructor and doing postgraduate work on personal training.

Jessica Berube, Instructor
Jessica Berube graduated from George Mason University in the spring of 2010 and holds her degree in Dance, and is currently working with Community Dance Project, a dance company in NYC. She grew up dancing with KBSD as well as with the New Jersey Dance Theatre Ensemble and as a dance major at Red Bank Regional High School.

Kristen Berube, Instructor
Kristen Berube danced at Kathryn Barnett School of Dance from age 2 through graduation from High School. While studying to be elementary school teacher in college, she has been a teacher, choreographer, and finally co-president of Loyola College Dance Company. Today, Kristen feels fortunate to fulfill her dream of working as a 6th grade Math teacher at Markham Place in Little Silver and dance instructor at KBSD.

Casey Stolowski, Instructor
Casey Stolowski is currently working for his BFA at the University of the Arts for dance with a concentration in Jazz.  Not only has he choreographed and taught at The Kathryn Barnett School of Dance but has performed in industrials, musicals, and other dance concerts.  He was most recently seen at Carnegie Hall with The Say Dance Collective.

Denise Choff, Instructor
With the dream of her daughter becoming a Rockette, Denise was enrolled in dance at the age of five by her mother.  Radio City would not be an option since Denise only grew to 5'1", but her love of dance flourished.  After becoming a mother of 2 daughters, Denise wanted to get back into shape through dancing.  After taking her first Zumba class, Denise knew she found a new dance passion.  Through Zumba, she has found a way to strengthen her body and mind, and has made lifelong friends.  Denise is excited to be a part of Kathryn Barnett School of Dance family.
