"It's All About The Kids!"
The Kathryn Barnett
School of Dance has been dedicated for over 25 years to teaching life
skills and the appreciation of the arts through dance. Programs
offered include targeted pre-school instruction, exciting recreational
classes, and an inspiring performance and competition team.
At KBSD, "It's All About
The Kids". Dance is a wonderful way to show children at a young age
the world of the performing arts. Through ballet, tap, acrobatics,
and more, the students grow and build a solid sense of self-esteem,
teamwork, and professionalism.
Our instructors and staff
are proud of their years of experience in dance education. The
teachers at KBSD pay attention to every child's individual learning needs
while providing excellence in dance training within a structured and
positive atmosphere. In addition to studio classes, KBSD teachers
extend their dance education philosophies with outreach programs,
including the First Friends Nursery School dance program, and the dance
and yoga curriculum at the Red Bank Charter School.
All dancers are invited
to perform at our annual Recital at the end of the dance year, and the
Barnett Traveling Troupe dancers are involved in a wide variety of
volunteer and community events.

Thank you so much for all you have taught me this year. Not just the dance
steps I've learned, but all the other lessons of sharing my time and talents
with people who are less fortunate, and the importance of confidence. Thanks for
being such an important person in my life and a great role model.
